Antique 19th century European portrait painting in a semi-miniature oil on board of a woman with a serpent bangle on her upper arm. Housed in its antique and elaborately decorated gilt wood frame. Measures about 11" x 12" overall (portrait is about 5"x6" unframed.) Condition is excellent with only age-appropriate wear.

1960s oil on stretched canvas portrait of a crystal ball gazer. The soothsayer woman is beautifully painted in fleshy impressionistic strokes, and wearing an exotic dress in rich shimmering hues. Big size, the canvas alone is about 26" x 20", and framed they measure about 31.5” tall by 25.5” wide. Condition is excellent with minor paint losses and other age-appropriate wear. Sophisticated palette, luminous scene, beautiful brushwork, rare subject... a striking piece with rare paranormal subject matter.

Pair of pillows with early 20th century bird embroidery surrounded by crewel embroidered leaf and vine linen. The antique hand-embroidered center motif is edged in soft brush fringe. Pillows are edged in heavy striated velvet, backed in woven floral. Measures 21" square; big fluffy soft and wonderful, rare to find items that marry homey comfort and high style so well. Condition is excellent with age-appropriate wear.

Antique, probably 18th century, oil on canvas painting, shoreline landscape scene with fisherman and a gnarled tree under an ominous sky. Antique frame is believed to be original. Stretched canvas measures just over 16.25” by 12.25”; outer frame measures about 22” x 18”. Condition is good with age-appropriate wear including a variety of minor flaws and retouches to the beautifully decorated gilt wood frame. A hand written note on back is of unknown relevance

The suicidal death of Cleopatra by asp bite, oil on canvas painting in heavy carved wood frame. Semi nude, elaborate textiles, 18th or 19th century antique. Unsigned. Measures about 31" by 37" inches on the wall and about 25" by 30" inches painting alone. Condition is excellent with age-appropriate wear.

Rare painting by the highly noted French romantic painter Camille Joseph Etienne Roqueplan (1803-1855). The work is signed lower right and dates to about 1835. The painting is on its original canvas and the most beautiful handmade stretcher. Condition is good and uncleaned with craquelure and other age-appropriate wear. It also has its original gilt frame which is in strong condition with the usual fissures in the decoration and minimal losses. Framed measures about 23"x20".

Devil-handled italian ceramic vase with intricate and brightly colored mythological designs painted throughout. Impressive handles made from the long horns of grotesque devil faces. Signed at bottom. Magical unsigned 19th century, I believe, oil on panel with a devilish faun / satyr-type character seated at the center of a flourishing flower and trellised vine garden. The thick hardwood panel is well housed in a densely carved gilt wood frame that dates later than the painting. The frame's outer measurements are about 14.5 x 18.25 inches. Condition is excellent with only age-appropriate wear.

A striking pair of antique blown glass vases with ribbed stems and what looks like a silver acid etched fern, ribbon and dots design. The rounded top has a 2 3/8" opening. They stand just under 9" tall, and are 5 3/4" at widest, with a round foot 3 7/8" across. Among the most impressive glass we've seen. Condition is excellent with age-appropriate wear.

Condition is good with areas of worn paint and other age-appropriate wear which may include glaze craquelure, discolor, and discreet surface abrasions with small paint losses and/or rubbing of gilded details.

Antique—c. 1750, I believe—oil on wood panel portrait painting of an old man in theatrical light. Measures about 15.75" × 13.25" overall. The painting's condition is excellent with age-appropriate wear, the antique gilt frame is good too, with a repaired crack visible only from side, and loss and wear to the gilt finish throughout.
